How it works

Self Check-In

At Strand Apartments, we offer an easy and flexible self check-in system so you can arrive at your convenience — no need to coordinate with staff or wait in line.

  • Before your arrival, you'll receive an email or SMS with detailed instructions and your unique door code.
  • On arrival day, simply enter the code on the keypad at your apartment door to unlock it.
  • Check-in is available any time after 15:00.

If you have any issues or questions during check-in, our team is just a phone call or message away and happy to assist.

Driving around Iceland?

Parking

No need to stress about parking — there are plenty of free spots just a short 2–3 minute walk from the hotel. Most of them are right in front of the Fjörður shopping mall.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • What time is check-in and check-out?

    Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out is before 11:00. Early check-in or late check-out may be possible upon request and subject to availability.



  • Is parking available?

    Yes, there are plenty of parking spaces around the hotel, free of charge.

  • Is Wi-Fi included?

    Absolutely. All our apartments include complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi.

  • Do the apartments have a kitchen?

    Yes, each apartment has a fully equipped  kitchenette, including a stove, fridge, kettle, microwave  and basic cooking utensils.



  • Is there a cleaning service during the stay?

    For longer stays, we offer cleaning service every few days. Fresh towels and linens are always available upon request.



  • How far is the nearest grocery store or restaurant?

    There are grocery stores, cafes, and restaurants just a short walk from the apartments — perfect for guests who want to explore the local area.

  • What if I need any assitance?
